LAGPA 2025 Conference: Advancing Public Governance Debates in Latin America

Diogo Pereira,

The Latin American Group for Public Administration (LAGPA), the regional branch of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), will host its 2025 Conference in Lima, Peru, from September 29 to October 1, 2025.

Organized with the support of the University of Valle (Colombia), the Graduate School of San Ignacio de Loyola University – Fernando Belaunde Terry (Peru), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), and the Latin American Center for Development Administration (CLAD), the conference will bring together academics, practitioners, and policymakers from across the region.

This year’s theme, “Governance, Democracy, and Digital Government: Strategic Challenges for Latin American Public Administration,” highlights the interconnections between effective governance, participatory democracy, and people-centered digital transformation. Sessions will also address public innovation, administrative modernization, and territorial equity.

The conference is conceived as a platform for knowledge exchange and the presentation of innovative solutions, while strengthening academic and institutional collaboration networks across Latin America.

Participation in the conference is free of charge. However, participants are expected to cover their own transportation, accommodation, and subsistence expenses. As all activities will be conducted in Spanish without interpretation into other languages, early registration is strongly recommended due to limited space.
