The IASIA 2025 Annual Conference took place in Mexico City, Mexico, from October 13 to 17, 2025, under the theme "Shaping the Future of Governance: Transforming Mindsets, Enhancing Skills, and Expanding Knowledge." Organized in close collaboration with the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP) of Mexico, the event welcomed over 200 participants from around the world, marking the return of an IIAS event to Mexico more than 50 years after the Institute’s first conference outside Europe.
The conference featured high-level plenary sessions, thematic panels, and interactive forums, with participants engaging in the work of IASIA’s dynamic Working Groups. A dedicated PhD seminar provided early-career scholars with the opportunity to present research and receive feedback, while statutory meetings reflected on governance, accountability, and strategic direction within the organization.
Beyond the scientific program, IASIA 2025 offered a social agenda designed to foster networking and collaboration, including a gala dinner, receptions, and cultural activities for delegates, such as a guided visit to the Teotihuacán Pyramids.
IASIA 2025 successfully combined scholarly exchange, professional development, and cultural engagement, reinforcing its role as a premier platform for advancing knowledge and dialogue in public administration. Photos from the conference are now available on Flickr, and videos can be viewed on YouTube.
Stay tuned: information about the IASIA 2026 Annual Conference will be shared soon, including dates, location, and the call for papers.
